PROTECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Protection of Privacy

Pursuant to Section 39(2) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (“FIPPA”), information is collected under the authority of the Ryerson University Act and is required for:

  1. matching individuals from visible minority and under-represented immigrant communities to board positions in the nonprofit and public sectors;
  2. enrolling individuals in governance training courses;
  3. other related or consistent purposes.

All personal information that is collected is used, stored, and destroyed in accordance with Ryerson University’s Information Protection and Access Policy.

All credit card information collected for the DiverseCity onBoard program is securely collected by Global Payments, Ryerson University’s approved payment processor and vendor of record. Global Payments has met and is in compliance with all Ryerson University security requirements.

Ryerson University does not store or retain any credit card information for the purpose of the DiverseCity onBoard program.
